Bead Like a Pirate!

Bead Like a Pirate!
In honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, I made up these patterns for people who want to celebrate being a pirate anytime, but especially on Sept 19th.
The first one is a simple tiled pattern. Right click to save patterns, or right click and choose "view image" to print from your browser.

Then a large Jolly Roger design that would be great as a brick stitched pin or anything else you'd like to make with it.

And finally, the two patterns combined, to make a large amulet bag. The front of the bag is 60x60 beads, I'd suggest cylinder beads or size 15 Japanese seedbeads for it.

There are also other jolly roger patterns around this page. Be sure to check out the last day of the Christmas Advent Earring Event.

Knit like a Pirate fantastic knitting patterns to bring out the pirate in you. A nifty felted tricorn hat!
Hello Yarn also has some great knitting patterns for the pirates out there.
Rings and Things has clips you can use to make strands of beads to wear in your hair like Captain Jack. I've seen these done with little alligator clips as well. Just string your beads on a strand of beading cable or floss, and attach to the clip.
In my personal journal, I posted a pattern for eyepatches that would also be very easy to embellish with beads.

Have fun talking like a pirate!
